Based within the School of Psychological Sciences and Health at the University of Strathclyde, the Strathclyde Sleep Centre investigates insomnia, sleep-disordered breathing, and the management of comorbid insomnia and sleep apnea (COMISA). Research interests include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), treatment adherence, digital health interventions, and behavioural approaches to sleep disorders. Through interdisciplinary and translational research, the centre contributes to improving the understanding, treatment, and long-term management of complex sleep conditions and their impact on health and wellbeing.

University of Edinburgh Sleep Research Unit

Based within the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences at the University of Edinburgh, the Sleep Research Unit investigates the relationships between sleep, brain health, cardiovascular disease, and mental health. Research interests include sleep-disordered breathing, sleep fragmentation, stroke risk, cognitive impairment, and the neuropsychological consequences of sleep disorders. Through clinical and population-based research, the unit contributes to understanding how sleep influences neurological and cardiovascular outcomes while supporting the development of evidence-based approaches to diagnosis and treatment.
